Review
Summary |
Formigen® is advertised as a cortisol reduction product and bills itself as second generation product, as the first rounds of these types of formulations were notoriously unsuccessful in weight management. Formigen® is one of many products on the market that does not disclose all of its actual ingredients. It is not acceptable to hide active ingredients behind a term such as “a proprietary blend”.

 | Ingredients At A Glance |
|
Formigen® does not clearly list all of the active ingredients. However the product may contain, as briefly mentioned at the website: GPA and Rhodolia.
Guanidinopropionic Acid - is a creatine monohydrate analogue. It is a common ingredient in products containing creatine monohydrate. The acid may help to regulate insulin function in the body and improve muscles ability to contract. It is important to note that some clinical studies have shown that guanidinopropionic acid can damage protein. It is sometimes even toxic, and can disrupt creatine uptake itself. Side-effects are mostly rare and none have been reported at the time of writing.
*Rhodiola – is a plant often used in Eastern Europe and Asia to stimulate the central nervous system and to improve sleep. Supplementation with rhodiola is also hoped to reduce stress-induced fatigue in humans. No serious adverse side effects have been reported from the use of rhodiola accept some users report irritability and insomnia. Studies are needed to determine if this herb is beneficial for weight management.

We were curious if the company had any additional positive testimonials or had a list of ingredients. We find it absolutely necessary regarding allergen agreeability, for a manufacturer to disclose all of products specific ingredients. We tried calling the provided number and were put on hold for over 3 minutes. The experience, in our opinion, was more sales oriented than consumer based. They do however; recommend that if you have any further questions to email.
We did find this posted at the website:
“Results dependent upon diet & exercise. You must diet & exercise as part of your stress management program. Always consult a physician before beginning any diet and exercise program. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.”

 | Positives |
|
• Post a few testimonials
• Dieters report weight loss
• Does not contain Ephedra
|
 | Negatives |
|
• All active ingredients not posted
• No trial sample
• No autoship program
• May not contain the appetite suppressant Hoodia
• Scarcity of studies on all potential active ingredients

 | Final Thoughts |
We like that the product is advertised as a breakthrough in Cortisol management, but we find a lack of published ingredients; make it not the most serious of formulations. Products in the past that focused on Corisol blocking often created a “cortisol rebound” experience, a changing of the overall circulating cortisol levels. This rebound was attributed to a break in the cycle of potential weight loss. Burning existing fat is paramount. Formigen® does not contain Advantra-Z® , the patented fat burning ingredient. Without a modern fat burner, we find Formigen® an interesting, but incomplete concept. A modern formulation must contain active ingredients that are consistent and effective. Again – it is important to take ONLY quality ingredients that are effective and published.

In fact – in a clinical trial done with The Flex Belt, 100% of the participants received results in flattening, toning, and strengthening their stomach. The Flex Belt is not a gimmick – it is 100% medical science. It is the first EMS (Electric Muscle Stimulation) product of its kind cleared by the FDA as a class II medical device for direct to consumer sales. The Flex Belt literally flexes your stomach muscles for you so they get a very concentrated work out. It makes it so that anyone can exercise their abs anywhere and anytime and it does all the work for you.
