* Citrus Aurantium – is a stimulant, similar to caffeine and is structurally related to ephedrine and pseudo-ephedrine, which is the unpatented form of Advantra-Z®. Because this particular form is not standardized, it is simply the herbal extract of bitter orange and is found in numerous dietary supplements.

* Green Tea - contains the stimulant, caffeine. Excessive caffeine is known to cause restlessness and/or insomnia. Also, people taking aspirin or blood thinning medications should consult their doctor before taking green tea extracts, because green tea extracts may interfere with blood clotting. More studies are still needed to determine if green tea extracts are truly beneficial for weight loss.

InstaTrim Fat Burner initially it may sound interesting, but the lack of supporting research on the active ingredients alone, at this time, leads us to not be overly impressed. The company’s approach of offering a “free” kit is however not necessarily free, as we discovered in the fine print. The program also suggests exercise and the need to take additional multivitamins which are supplied. We do like that the product contains Citrus Aurantium, but in our opinion, the rest of the formulation is ineffective for stimulating insured weight loss. Perhaps this is why an exercise rubber band is included with the kit.

Customer service and the ability to contact a company should a question arise are of utmost importance. The retailer’s website removes any credibility for us. It does not offer any credible studies on its products or methodology. Unfortunately, this particular formulation, alone uses excessive amounts of caffeine as a stimulant.
